The heart is responsible for a lot more than just our cardiovascular system, which is undoubtedly important. What is also important is our emotional wellness which is derived from our heart - center. Our heart, holds onto emotions that are felt, needing to be processed over our years of development and through the aging processing.
Our mind / brain makes sense of our emotions that are derived from our thoughts based on "in the moment" perceptions / assumptions, modeling and the thought(s) that are attached to the heart - centered emotions. It is our thoughts that make sense of the emotions that we may feel on a daily basis.
Our Heart - Centered Emotions and our thoughts have an effect on our body and overall complete wellness. When our heart and brain are working in congruence with one another our body senses the harmonious alignment thus sharpening our instinctual awareness, intuitive sense, and overall body awareness.
Founded by: Chandra (Taormina) Chappell, author of Congruence - Heart, Mind, and Body Connection; for everyone. Congruence was written and published for the soul intention to implement short, easy to follow exercises into a setting where most children spend most of their time - SCHOOL!
As ideas grow and take different directions as they are shaped, molded, and flourish; TCP is dedicated to bringing this way of learning into the lives of children and teens in the school setting, on any court / field / rink while in the "game", or on a stage, and to other kid's groups / clubs.
The Congruency Project believes in a community approach to providing education, training, and the skill set in fun and creative ways to implement living in full body congruence between the heart, mind and body. This project was created to foster this growth and awareness into the lives of children, to pay it forward, and carry this method of living onward through the developmental stages of their life.
The congruency Project believes as proved through objective and anecdotal evidence that by fostering this type of learning and practice among children they are better able to manage anxiety, moods improve, emotional self - regulation skills improve, bully - like behavior decreases, communication becomes more effective, emotional intelligence flourishes, social skills / conflict resolution improves, attention / concentration, and memory improve, as well as overall sense of awareness of emotions, thoughts, and their body.
